A Little About Myself

Hey, I'm Angelena!

Get To Know Me

I live in an old farmhouse in the foothills of the Berkshires, surrounded every day by the perfect beauty of Western Massachusetts. My goal as a photographer is to capture the perfect moments I see through my lens.

I’ve been a photographer for five years, and have been the Art Director at Cider House Media in Easthampton since 2018. I love what I do, and I love the privilege of working with my clients, in both the photography and art direction worlds. Your smiling face when you see the results is such a great reward.

Part of what makes photography so interesting is exploring how every instant – every scene – can appear in the final image. Getting out of the studio, be it in the outdoors at the golden hour before dusk, in the intimacy of your home, or wherever your moment takes place, is what photography is all about for me.

When we work together, you’ll discover that I’m an enthusiastic people person.  I love catching love, happiness, and beautiful moments for people to hold on to forever.

My Three Favorite Hobbies

Besides shooting photos

Cooking

Cooking is something that I spend a lot of my time doing in my daily routine. I was diagnosed with chronic migraine and had to go on a low tyramine diet, which led me to really investigate labels, read up on recipes, and get creative with food.

Now that I have a better understanding of how food works for our bodies, how healthy fresh food is, and how great it makes me feel, I feel great and I won’t ever go back to how I ate before.

Running

Along with my diet, I have added running into my daily routine. I can’t get enough of it. I do have my days, like everyone, where I need a break or two, but I come right back to it. I feel accomplished when I can go for long periods of time without stopping.

It took me a couple years to get to where I am now, about 4 miles in 43 minutes, but I am proud of that progress and can’t wait to make even more progress in the near future.

Restoring Items

If I see an old object, I instantly think of ways to restore it and make it into something else. I love antiquing! I may not need older items in the house, but I find a way to integrate them into our living space.

Finding ways to repurpose old items makes me feel good. Whether adding a fresh coat of paint or making a chair into a cat bed, I enjoy the process – and the result!
